2023 Shu-Te University Department of Performing Arts – Summer Broadway Musical Workshop

It’s time again for the musical theater workshop that everyone is most looking forward to once a year!

Do you want to become a theatrical producer?  Want to become a professional musical actor or dancer?

We have prepared professional experience courses for everyone!

Hosted by the Shu-Te University Department of Performing Arts at the end of the 2023 summer vacation…

Excellent teachers, equipment, and a complete curriculum…

No matter whether you have experience or not, as long as you are a high school student who likes to perform, you can participate!

This workshop, in addition to physical development, voice training, and other training, will particularly focus on the song and dance from the Broadway classic musical “The Producers”.

Let’s  all experience singing and dancing on the Broadway musical stage, as well as experience the training process behind the performance!

◆ Date: 8/24 (Thursday) ~ 8/25 (Friday), 2023

◆ Time: 09:00 ~ 16:30

◆ Target audience: all high school students/higher vocational students can sign up

Precautions:

(1) The registration fee is 1,000 NT, and you can enjoy an early bird discount of 700 NT before July 31, 2023.

Note: The registration fee includes food, accommodation, and insurance.  Please remit money to the following account.  Please upload receipts/certificating documents after the remittance is completed.  You can take photos or screenshots.

(2) Participants are required to wear light clothing and bring documents that can prove their identity (student ID card, health insurance card, ID card, etc.) when checking in.

(3) The organizer reserves the right to change and/or adjust the courses.

(4) In the event of an emergency (such as typhoons, earthquakes, epidemics, etc.), the organizer has the right to cancel the event to ensure the safety of the students.

薛定洲寫下歷史成為台灣第一位在美國演出音樂劇《芝加哥 Chicago》的男演員。他近期更參與了榮獲美國劇場最高榮耀東尼獎 Signature Theatre 年度大戲《太平洋序曲 Pacific Overtures》，此劇為美國音樂劇巨史蒂芬桑坦 Stephen Soudheim 的名作之一。薛定洲也在《媽媽咪呀!MAMMAMIA!》國際中文版與倫西區的導演及編舞工作，其合作過的劇團曾獲得美國劇壇重要獎項，包括《Drama Desk Awards》及《Obie Awards》的殊榮。

• 曾長期駐足紐約，擔任外百老匯演員，時報雜誌讚譽「擁有純熟古典底蘊及中國京劇聲腔的爵士歌手」
• 2011編導演單人表演影像音樂劇「自由行-兩人同行一人免費」巡演20多場，備受好評。
• 台南室內合唱團、澎湖文化局合唱團指揮暨藝術總監
• 2014-2015 外交部國際青年大使總導演暨藝術總監
• 跨領域音樂、戲劇、影像表導演

Dance Teacher: Wei-Ming Wang

• 現任樹德科技大學表演藝術系專任助理教授
• 國立臺北藝術大學舞蹈研究所碩士
