ADMISSIONS SCHOLARSHIPS

 

Premium Scholarship: Full free tuition and fees over 430,000 NT

Those who rank first in the independent admissions audition will receive free tuition and no fees for four years.

 

Level 1 Scholarship: Free tuition and fees for the first year + 300,000 NT

Those who rank 2-4 in the independent admissions audition will be awarded this scholarship.

* The 300,000 NT scholarship starts from the second year (50,000 NT per semester, for 6 consecutive semesters).

*The total amount exceeds 400,000 NT over four years.

 

Level 2 Scholarship: Tuition and fees for the first year “reduced by 1/2” + 150,000 NT

Those who rank 5-16 in the independent admissions audition will be awarded this scholarship.

* The 150,000 NT scholarship starts from the second year (25,000 NT per semester, for 6 consecutive semesters).

* The total amount exceeds 200,000 NT over four years.

 

 

MILLION DOLLAR DREAM PROJECT 百萬築夢計畫菁英招募獎助學金

Shu-Te University established the Million-Dollar Dream Project in order to help encourage students to set lofty aspirations and actively realize their potential and their dreams.  Each year, this award sponsors 5 students with 200,000 NTD each for travel and expenses for their pursuits.

 

●《Why We Sing》Yuan-Ze Lu / Xiu-Yuan Chen / Rui-Jun Chen / Ting-Jun Liao

“Music Without Borders” went to Westminster Choir College through the Million Dream Project, as well as participated in the tourism of New York City.

 

《Mulan Girl》Jia-Ying Lin / Wei-Ren Lin

Two DPA students, Jia-Ying Lin and Wei-Ren Lin, went to Tokyo to study Japanese traditional arts, such as: Maiko dance at the SESSION HOUSE dance classroom, food models, a traditional origami.  One of their goals was to combine Taiwan’s national treasure orchid with Japanese Maiko dance, in an attempt to help promote Taiwanese orchids.

 

《Building a Dream – The Path of Dreaming for Tap Dancers》 Yu-Ting Yu

Tap dancer Yu-Ting Yu visited Tokyo, Japan for a month to further study tap at Tokyo’s major tap dancing and hip-hop classrooms, and meet other international tap dancers.  She also witnessed some Japanese traditional culture and American-style tap dancing.

 

《TANZTRÄUME》Yu-Xi Jiang

Yu-Xi Jiang traveled to Germany to participate in dance classes at Marameo, Tanzhaus, and Folkwang University of the Arts; watch dance performances at the Wupta Dance Theater, such as Pina Bausch’s “Muller Cafe” and “Spring Festival”; and also explore other German culture and performing arts throughout several cities, such as watching performances of musical theater and dance performances, and visiting major museums and art galleries.

 

《Dancing Art》Jun-Hui Lin / Sheng-Ping Quan

Jun-Hui Lin and Sheng-Ping Quan commented that performance art and film and television have been inseparable when it comes to “Kung Fu”. They decided to travel to the Shaolin Temple headquarters in Shaoshan, Henan Province, China to study physical and mental health, and to discover new ways to influence dance with Kung Fu.
